Story of a Brave Women, My Sister
70Sister's Story
My sister is a brave women. She really didn't tell us much about her illness, until she had too. She was the kind of person that wanted everyone to see that she is strong not weak. She told the family about her kidney's. She said not to worry. I will get through this. So we took it in stride that she was going to fight this all the way and win. But when she had more test done. They said she would need a kidney transplant. So the hunt was on. Her oldest son tried to give her one but he had some heart problems. So they turned him down as a donor. But during the hunt, more test were done. Finding out she has cancer of the lungs, and liver. So with the cancer they could not do a transplant unless during treatments the cancer went away. But months went by and cancer didn't get better and the kidney's were worse. She was in and out of hospitals and clinics. But on her birthday in 2008. She lied in her hospital bed still saying she is fighting. But the day after her birthday sorry to say she passed away, with lots of her family by her side.
My Baby Shower Memory
The first story I would love to tell, is the story of my sister and I, at my baby shower. I knew she was feeling losey but she came to the shower anyways. She knew that in order to feel better, that she needed to be with family and make as many memories as possible. I was so glad for her to be there and to share the coming of my third child. A girl, named Amber.
Thanksgiving Memory
My sister invited my family to her house for Thanksgiving. I was great to see her, but also sad that she looked so frail and skinny. Knowing my sister is going through a really rough time. But despite all that. We all talked and had a good time. It was nice to see my sister laughing at Amber who was about 14months old, showing off wiggling her but and playing with Sis. Dinner was done and we all msat down to eat blessing all of us togther. But the best part of the day was my daughter and her, eating together off the same plate. Amber just walked up to her plate and started eating her corn. My sister said leave her alone, she is fine, I am enjoying her right now. I was so cute. That was a great day for all the family...Thanks Sis
Christmas Time Memory
Every Christmas the girls in the family, tried to get together and make Christmas cookies. So in 2007, that was to be the last with all of us there. There are three sisters all together me-the youngest, April-the middle, and Jane the oldest. Than this year we had my oldest daughter and youngest helping. It was great fun we had an assembly line. two would mix the dough, and two would help with decoration and cooking, and some would clean. Needless to say we had a mess when it was all done. But I know she enjoyed her last Christmas cookie bake with the family. Needless to say she had her sons around and husband and other that day.
Thanks Sis for all the many memories, I would love to tell everyone to look for my children's book coming out soon. Called Courious Jane's: Mouse Adventure
